Outsourced drawing office for machine shops

A part arrives with no drawing, or a customer asks you for a design. I sort it out and you make it.

When it helps

  • Someone brings you a part to copy and it has no drawing.
  • A customer hands you a sketch and it needs to be ready to machine.
  • You need a fixture or a bracket for your own production.

How I work

  1. Send me what you have

Photos, a sketch, the part or the old drawing.

  2. I give you lead time and price

Before starting, so you can quote your customer.

  3. Drawing and files

PDF for the operator, STEP for CAM, DXF for cutting.

  4. Questions on the shop floor

We sort them out by phone or email.

Three ways to work together

One-off job
Fixed quote for a specific piece of work.
Block of hours
Use them as parts come in.
Monthly arrangement
For shops with a steady flow of technical work.
Workbench with 3D-printed parts, callipers and a tap
Printed prototypes and measuring at the bench before the drawings are signed off.

At the workbench

I measure the parts and test prototypes before calling the drawings done. Clear drawings for the operator, with the dimensions that matter and nothing extra.

In the Basque Country and Navarre I come to your shop to measure a part or look at a machine.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a drawing take?

It depends on the part and on my workload. I give you the lead time before starting so you can commit to your customer.

What if the part is large or can't be moved?

I come to measure it at your shop or plant. In the Basque Country and Navarre that is the usual way.

Which software do you use?

SOLIDWORKS and FreeCAD. I deliver the files in whatever format your CAM software or supplier uses.

Is there a part waiting for a drawing?

Send me photos and I'll give you lead time and price.
